The Initial Game Pass Additions of 2026 Show Xbox Isn't Giving Up Yet.
Everywhere you go, enthusiasts continue to ring the death bells for the green team. The platform was lately surpassed in sales by a lesser-known competitor. Platform-specific outlets are now publishing content about PlayStation unprecedentedly. Last year proved to be an era of significant turmoil for the tech giant's gaming arm. But if we're going solely off the upcoming Game Pass lineup in 2026, it's evident that the green gaming company continues to plan to draw people in with compelling titles on its key platform.
The Available Now Titles
The duo of games currently accessible at this moment, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, don't represent the biggest draws. Rather, it's what is coming to Game Pass in the coming weeks that's truly noteworthy.
Major Titles on the Horizon
Starting January 13th, Game Pass will add the underrated Star Wars Outlaws, a sprawling adventure that deviates from conventional open-world tropes with an intergalactic heist adventure. An additional significant inclusion is Resident Evil Village with its iconic tall vampire, hailed in past assessments as "a superb mixture of terror and combat."
Intriguing Niche Additions
But even the smaller games arriving shortly on the service deserve recognition. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, the criminally overlooked roguelike offering thrilling gameplay, arrives January 7th — and it merits a playthrough regardless of whether you played the first Lost in Random game.
The game set in a ruined Britain from last year might get its hooks in you within just a quarter of an hour.
Atomfall, a survival title with stealth elements by the makers of Sniper Elite, also warrants your attention. Game Pass Ultimate subscribers also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to get excited about.
A Well-Rounded Collection
All in all, this isn't a revolutionary update to Game Pass, and they are also not first-party juggernauts that validate the subscription in the first place. But Microsoft's additions here are very dependable. The lineup provides a solid mix of older titles you may have skipped and fairly new titles that didn't get the attention they deserved the first time around — transforming them into excellent choices to experience a revival on Game Pass.
You might need to brace yourself to say goodbye to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, however.
