FC Barcelona Ready for Historic Fixture at Upgraded Camp Nou on Saturday
Barcelona have announced they are set to host at the partially upgraded Camp Nou over the weekend. The club will host the Bilbao team in La Liga over two years since relocating to allow renovations to start.
“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
The stadium will not be at full capacity with 45,401 fans can be present based on approved permits. After final construction, the Camp Nou is due to hold over 104,000 attendees, a rise from the old capacity. Officials confirmed completed upgrades featured a renovated tunnel for players and new dressing rooms.
Preparatory Events
Barcelona held a fan-accessible workout at the Camp Nou earlier this month. They mentioned they are seeking authorization by UEFA for their upcoming Champions League fixture facing Eintracht on 9 December at the stadium. Their recent games have been held at the Olympic Stadium.
